Surely you meant "believe it when i see it going up. remember Glasshoughton anyone". You're really in no position to throw that one are you, at least we appear to have the money
Interesting thought - I've seen no mention in any of the reports people have linked to, of how the project is going to be financed.
I don't understand all the bickering, Wakefield need a strong Castleford presence and Cas need Wakey. Surely we won't both sides to do well as they are this season!

I don't know for sure, but I'd suggest two things that might help but I'm only making an informed speculation .
1: One of the partners is perhaps a Supermarket and as we know they generally have the clout and the resources to make it happen THIS IS JUST MY THEORY
2: BV is an easily saleable piece of real estate which already has full planning permission with no blast zones etc and could basically be redeveloped immediately.
Seriously, it's still just a paper plan at the moment just like yours. Just like I often say about your project I to will believe it when I see it, but it's a lot better than where we were.
"Therefore, surely nothing in life is to be feared, only understood. Apart from getting shanked at the cash machine!"
I love this city, this is my town. We get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud. i love my city this is my town, we get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud
"A new community trust has been set up, chaired by Sir Rodney Walker, to help deliver the project and to ultimately own and operate the facility."
Rodney Walker will fund it, then own it, nothing like a fan owning the ground! I don't think the credit crunch effects people like Rodney Walker!
No he won't, I think you have totally the wrong end of the stick here. He won't put a penny in, he is the facilitator and will bring together those who will. In this he has a proven track record.
A trust will own it, but a trust owned by the developer to the most part.
What I have noticed is how close that site is to Castleford, anyone want to speculate
Good on ya trins hope it comes off can also see this puts even more of a cloud over ours , Time really is now for Rw to let us in on WTf is going on because i for one dont beleive ours will materialise .

Fingers crossed for you lot. Heard something about holding on for 150,000, when you could have cracked on with a 13,000 months ago.
WTF, with time ticking until the next franchise submission would it not be better to get something that enables an A Class Franchise (i.e HJ, basic but neat), but with the option to expand. Rather than wait on additional funding only for the clock (and supporters patience) to run away from you?
As far as WMDC go, i can understand people getting frustrated with them, they do want facilities at J32, but to what degree they don't know, and need suitable research, which takes months & years!
We went down that garden path with them, they took our private venture and snowballed it into something both tempting and controversial. they set us years behind where we should be now. cas fans beware.
