I also like how Saints and Celtic don't get a reminder, when unless I am gorcely mistaken are in exactly the same boat as us. It makes a mockery of the whole system, and the RFL make a mockery out of Rugby League.
We have got a reminder. All five have. It's just that our plans are further down the road than yours, Wakey's and Salfords, and Celtic are looking at a move to a bigger shared ground with better facilities (which I think is what was included in their licence application) so we aren't seen as in exactly the same boat as you.
However, we
are in a similar boat as you because we have to get our stadium up to standard. We are all keeping everything crossed that Taylor Wimpey don't go belly up, as they came close to doing in Jan/Feb this year. As is they are complaining about the money they are due to give us for Knowsley Road - the sum was agreed when the value of land was higher. So they are squealing. But we are going ahead anyway. We hope to be putting the main building work out to tender next month or September, with building work beginning in December of this year. The new site has already been largely cleared (but poor old Salford got to that stage and then it all collapsed).
It's all touch and go and if Taylor Wimpey goes down then so does the project .... and, so do we.
