1. Having a 'mug with money' is the difference between success and mediocrity.....Let's be honest, if a Simon Moran character walked into Wheldon Road, you lot would be ecstatic and wouldn't mind the odd mercenary (Saying that, the only difference between us and you, seems to be our mercenaries are a bit more talented, as I don't see a full 17 of local-born lads in your line-up either ). 2. Cullen and Lowes had the same chequebook that Smith currently has access to, yet won nothing....Smith has 2 Challenge Cups and a League Leaders Shield in just 28 months in charge....He can't be that bad??
True....I think we've only used 12 this season...how about you?

Unfortunately, clubs like Cas are the ones that suffer most from the simple fact that there is not enough quality to go around a 14 team league. You are inevitably going to end up in a situation where you end up with the bigger club's cast-offs and fringe players, coupled with, perhaps, 1 or 2 'big' names from down under. Look at last season, Mathers from us, Fozzard from Saints, both cast offs....Both decent enough players, but neither ever likely to be involved in a trophy winning squad in the future. Until you get your stadium up and running and some serious investment, then you will continue to be the small fish in the big pond, especially when it comes to recruitment.
Just for the record, can you tell us when Warrington became a big club, not a rich club mind, just a big club.
As i said before any tool with money can buy a team

They have the money to sign the top players in the game and have done.
They have won back to back challange cups and have just finised top of the league.
They average over 10,000 for home matches.
It would be quicker and easier for you to explain on what basis you do not believe Warrington are a big club.

Castleford. YAY!
I would love to explain why I think Wire are a big club but unfortunately this thread's about Cas' real and rumoured signings, so I can't.

Off the top of my head....9, I think....Riley, Wood, Mitchell, Blythe, Cooper, McCarthy, O'Brien, Evans, Harrison...Maybe not all local to Warrington, but brought through the system.

The highly successful businessman and avid Wire fan, Simon Moran is a 'tool'??.....
Kinda ironic coming from some muppet living a lonely existance at his computer in deepest, darkest Yorkshire....

Maybe, but I have a feeling Lulia is not an out-and-out quota player as he has Cook Island heritige, might even have been born there?
