1. We do not have a good enough goal kicker .... those missed kicks tonight cost us the match ... it has been said before in SL goal kicking is the difference in winning and losing and tonight that was it......look at hodgson(sp) he was kicking from the sideline and converting..... look at masri (sp) today in sheets of rain and high winds converting for fun from the touchline.......next season this has to be high on our priority list.

Hodgson kicked 3 from 5

Dixon kicked 2 from 5 (but judging by what i've just seen on the rerun on Sky, Dicko kicked another!)

So to say Dicko isn't good enough compared to Hodgson on tonights showing is a little strange. To then use El Masri is even dafter since the guy just broke the record for NRL points. I'd love us to have one of the worlds best kickers in our side, but we haven't. Has anyone ever noticed that the best goal kickers often end up at the best clubs, who pay more and win more? They don't usually sign for sides like Cas who were routed to the bottom of the table all last year. When we've had a few good seasons under our belt, maybe then we can tempt El Masri to come and kick for fun from touch after Owen and Shenny score out wide, but until then we'll have to make do with above average kickers. We can't keep blaming Dicko for not converting from touch in swirling winds (like we did last week also) especially when we have taken far too many wrong options in the game and made some stupid errors, like holding the ball in one hand for example, far more costly than a missed touchline kick.

It doesn't IMO it goes over the top of the post more on the outside edge.

Credit to both sides tonight. Hudds need to cut out the daft pens and Cas were not sharp enough ball in hand tonight. Giants played with 7 missing Faiumu, Raleigh, Crabtree, Aspinwall, Finnigan, Korkidas and Fulton to come. Things will only get better for the giants

You really are up yourself arn't you

How is using Masri dafter ???? he is a good goal kicker and i was using the example that he was kicking in driving rain and wind and still hitting the target ... demonstrating the difference a good kicker can make to a game ....... hodgson kicked better in the wind than Dixon simple as......... also taking your stupid sarcasim out of the equation for a moment...

I actually believe we have a better kicker at Cas in Joe Westerman but for some reason he does not kick ....

I dont actually get your issue though I said that he is not a good kicker you agree he is average....i said we need to replace next season and I was happy with what we have this season.....you go on like a spoilt child whose toys has been taken away from him....re- read my post and try to realise that not everyone is blaming Dixon for the loss merely offering an opinion on where we need to improve.

I identified an area of weakness that i believe will cost us a number of games this season.... the example I gave was tonight ..... with a good kicker we would of won .... that is not a dig at Dixon he does his best BUT to progress we need to bring in a better kicker next year.

I also went on to say that the major problem in the side is our 20m- goal line defence and actually believe this is the biggest problem that we have .... so if you care to get of your high horse and your whatever from up the backside of Dixon ..... and re-read my post you will see it was aimed at highlighting areas where further improvement would see us go up yet another notch

A little disappointed tonight, because I thought they were there for the taking. They had quite a few of their pack out and it was a little worrying that in some spells of the game, we couldn't hold them. I wouldn't be confident of going to their place and nicking two points when they have a full team out.

Squads are getting stronger and maybe when teams have 'first teamers' injured, it causes a false sense of security when teams play against them ?! Wakey have certainly been underestimated by other teams with their starting line ups this year. Hopefully, our fringe players will come in and step up to the mark when neccessary.

It shows how close SL is this year outside the top two. We lose to Quins by 4, beat Wigan by 6, beat Catalans by 2 and lose to Huddersfield by 2.

No. You just don't know how to have a debate on a forum, and that someone might disagree with you. So i'll not bother because i can't be bothered explaining myself to you. I also haven't bothered reading the rest of your post either, why bother?
