Why didnt they tannoy it to remind fans thats such abuse wont be tolerated. You manged to use it to stir up hatred against the Wigan U18s. Small minded club left in the 70s.

It's announced before every game you moron not to mention it was 15-20 people who have all had their names forwarded to the chairman.

There again it's not like a Wigan fan to have no clue about anything is it?

He might have achieved a lot on the field of play in Union, but it counts for nothing in Rugby League, I'm sure he was only signed to give the Crusaders more publicity because Union attracts more publicity, do you want to go there for another debate as to the why's and wherefor's?

I might ad that had the chants been aimed at a seasoned rugby league player, absolutely nothing would have happened, yet again read my lips I'm not condoning the abuse, read my post, but it seems the club is being made a scapegoat only because of the profile of Mr Thomas.

The chants were by a handful of young morons who don't know any better, Mr Thomas should have risen above it, I am exteremely disappointed by the actions of the mindless morons, but also by those of the RFL, what on earth could the club do? they take adequate steps but are being punished too harshly IMO.

To show the inbalance look at last season when Salford supporters threw a flare onto the pitch, this landed at Richard Owens feet, absolutely nothing was done about this, surely that is 100 times worse than the Thomas affair?

Cast your minds back to the Leon Pryce chanting that went on for a weeks at various grounds, about how he was going to get bmd in the showers etc.

Did he complain, did the RFL say that the fans were condeming homosexual behaviour, or abusing Leon?? Did anyone hear Pryce complaining about it?? I remember the Rhino's fans giving him all sorts of grief on a televised game. The RFL's action.........sweet FA!

Is GT a bit of a sensitive flower or something ?? Perhaps the whinging keeps him more in touch with his feminine side than the rest of the RL community!

So its announced before the game theres still 80 mins of rugby and h/t etc for incidents like this to occur, im sure if Cas had responded with a tannoy warning you would of had grounds to say we tried to put a stop to the situation but no you can only use your tannoy to try and bully and intimidate a team of kids. Hopefully there incidents will be reminded of when licencing comes around again.

Im not sure what they have meant to have said, but fining a club for their crowd chanting something, is ridiculous.

Whilst this is a sensitive issue, everyone needs to remember that there are rules on this site which need to be abided by.

Well i go home and away and have not seen a punch thrown, the only agro ive heard of was when Wigan fans were attacked in Warington town centre by a pub of idiots and i heard there was a skirmish in a pub in St Helens, hardly football factory stuff.
