Do you really the young lad will get anywhere near the £££'s a 'proven' Aussie scrum half
Thats just how it appears to work in this country
Since he is arguabley the hotest property in rl in the moment and an england international, quite possibley yes. If your talking about when widnes went bust no we could have picked him up for next to nothing, but if we had i daresay many of our fans would have said he was gash and had only been signed cause he was cheap, and then systematically destroyed the kids confidence.
Is that why with a fit Sherwin at the start of the season we had a positive record and were scoring points for fun and now without him I'm not sure we've won a game. He leads the team and creates chances for others. That's why we have a nippy stand off to compliment his style.
Were you not there to see his masterclass in Edinburgh? His short kicking game has been very inconsistent since he pulled on a Cas shirt. I did say that the injuries had probably affected this if you care to read before you type
No not on drugs when widders has been playing he hasnt put a foot wrong, tackled well and drove the ball in, he may look tubby (wish is why some people have such a problem with him and doesnt pay attention to what he does well) but he has a suprising turn of speed and without him we wouldnt have won the bradford game.
Widders needs to come good and get injury free, otherwise a bad move offering 3 yrs.
No doubt he has the ability but that's no good to us for a handful of games per season
Hold on, have we given up Why are so many Cas fans so happy with mediocrity More attractive clubs
Never heard such sh*te in my life. Lets all just pack up and go home eh
If you offer a kid (with no ties to either club) the chance to go to saint helens who have won the cup 4 out of the last 5 years, have toped the league for the last 4 years, and appear in the grand final pretty much every year (and won it 3 years ago) or go to cas who have won promotion back into sl twice in 5 years what do you think his descision will be?

And this despite offering the kid big £££ that would have otherwise been in the coffers of an Aussie superstar will make no difference

As I said, lets pack up and go home then
But if saint offered him big money as well, what actual reason does he have to pick cas over them or any other team. its not a case of lets pack up and go home then, anyone who thought we would challenge for honours the year after we were bottom is slack, we need to build the team up year on year ie we are better this year than last.
I wouldn't bother reading this bit, there is nothing interesting, witty or insightful down here, just this collection of boring words explaining that you really are wasting your time browsing this signature in the vain and futile hope that there will be a nugget, nay, a veritable goldmine of witticisms or divine philosophy. In reality, all you're going to get is disappointment, a sense of hopelessness and a random word.

What's with the aggressive nature of your post? Somebody not agree with you opinion so you you throw a massive dummy spit? Come back and talk when you have grown up a bit and can engage in a rational debate.
I could explain what I meant with my previous post but frankly can't be @rsed, the more rational amongst you fully understood what I meant without frothing at the mouth.

I just fecking give up with this forum.
Aggressive
I'm passionate about my club, not a crime
However I do take offence at so called cas fans running our own club down. I offer a different opinion to you and quite a few others on here who seem quite happy with mediocrity. You seem content to accept the status of Cas as not having the right to challenge "a club like St Helens" for the top talent, or the top honours---this can't be right surely
I won't give up on the forum though, no frothing, no dummy spits, just giving you and your chums a different opinion

Where on God's earth have I or anyone said that? Clubs that are winning things are more "attractive" to young players, we are not winning things ergo the like of Leeds/Saints are more "attractive", not a hard point to grasp. Also, a few clubs have more financial clout than us, another factor in swaying where a player decides to move to.
I would love Cas to be able to challenge the like of Saints but it is not going to happen overnight, I would much rather continue at the rate of progress we are currently making. We have a fantastic crop of youngsters progressing nicely, a coach who believes in giving youth a chance and are currently financially sound.
In short, we are moving in the right direction although not as fast as some would like.
