and a SKY one from Stevo.

The times article takes the Stanley development as serious as the rest, something it took us years to do with Thornes. It also makes it very clear that Cas ans Wakey building two new Stadiums virtually next to each other is Crazy!

Stevo says more or less the same.

It's just two article in a week, but as I say considering the lack of substance currently available for the Stanley development people who should know a bit more than most appear at least to me to be taking it very seriously.

I wouldn't particularly call a RL blog that requires a daily update of some news (and doesn't particularly give Stanley precedence over Glasshoughton) and one from a television presenter passes for journalists "falling over themselves to take Stanley seriously"

Of course I'm worried, arn't you!

This is what amazes me with some Cas fans, it's as if you live in a bubble and bad things only happen elsewhere.

It's not the nervousnes of Wakey fans that would worries me. It's the complacency of some Cas fellow fans that would bother me. This lack of awarness of what's happening around you is bizzare and leaves you utterly vulnerable.

I know you won't listen to me, write me off as a crank, what does this troll Wakey fan know about us blah blah.

Yet I say just look at the state of the nations economy, where the hell are you or us going to get the cash from. The Trinity Walk development in Wakey is viable, all the store units are let. The reason they can't finish it isn't about viability - the horrible truth is that no bank has enough new money to lend them - it's not about viability, the Banks simply can't find the cash to lend.

So with all that in the air you bet I'd be happier (in a fashion) with Cas on board. Not because I like the idea but because I'm realistic enough to know that right now a two team stadium has far more chance of being built than a one team stadium.

It's not about Wakey or Cas fans, it's about waking up and smelling the coffee. It's a tough world out there and some of you are not seeing the real issues IMHO. This is why I have a gut feeling it will happen, because I fail to see an alternative.

Finally your not alone - we have two long threads on our forum, one proclaiming we have a new stadium and one asking what we want from it.
Both are ridiculously previous and bare no relation to the reality - we have a press release and that's it for now.

There shouldn't even be a debate about this really, at the minute the stadium in Stanley is just a dream, the proposed land is green belt? so what makes you think that it will even get planning permission, which will probably take about a year to obtain anyway.

Whereas Glasshoughton has outline planning permission, work on the site has started (albeit land clearing - it's still a start) from rumblings around at Waystone the work isn't been done this year, but starting in January is because it will take until then to get a proper architects plan of the stadium and to obtain full planning permission, then once the work starts in January, it will take between 10-12 months to complete.

So based on all this - Glasshoughton is quite clearly the much more viable option, it's just the Wakey fans trying to wind up Cas fans coming out with crap like "you have to share out ground".

I never said it gave precedence :?

True it's not earth an earth shattering, but as I say it's just been a week and by previous standards that's not bad going.

I never said you did. You did say that journalists "are falling over themselves to take Stanley seriously" whilst only paying "both Glasshoughton and Thornes only lip service through the years"

Sit back from your wind up, if all resources of Wakey and Cas were put into Glasshoughton, you wouldn't be so open to the possibility of sharing.

From a Cas point of view, the difference between the two sites is that one is in Cas, one isn't, even though both are in Wakey.

So why your eagerness to share outside of Cas when Cas is only a "small town in Wakey"?

Do you have a reason for thinking that bazzo or is it just wishful thinking?

Come on cas fans we need to be asking the wakey fans these sorts of questions if we want to know about our grounds progress, they all know much more about the cas ground than cas fans, they have told us so.

if so your ground is ok to be in the suburb known as CAS

They are certainley coming off as very insecure, but that is understandable considering the number off times they have announced plans for a new stadium and it has fallen through. We dont have the same insecurity as our plan hasnt failed and is going through the many frustratingly slow stages all new grounds have to go through to be built.
