As for Sport England, a friend who i went to university with now works as a senior accounts manager at Victoria House. Her colleague has been involved with both claims. Take it or leave it.

Il leave it thanks

you can take your J30 and get yourself back onto the Wakefield board, i dont care about it, this is the Cas board on about the Cas stadium, nobody give a flying fig about Wakefield and their stadium at J30.

It seems to make economic sense to share the stadium. There is no doubt about that. If the stadium could be double fronted so from one entrance would be Wakefield and would be the home stand for Wakie and the the other Castleford it would allow each club to maintain it's identity

Each separate stand could have it's own season tickets which wouldn't cause a problem on Derby day and it would get more use as a game would be there pretty much weekly. planning for overlapping fixtures would be easy with a 24hour turnaround.

Brand identity would be the key though as other shared stadia (Galpharm as an example) are often sanitised of their club identity and become a faceless feature. You thoughts?

Is that what you told them gullible dee dars from Sheffield, come and share with us you know it makes sense

Care to identify your source so I can get her fired for allegedly leaking confidential financial information?

Or shall we just assume you're talking crap?

it's our city and our council... this has nothing to do with rugby, i don't see the point of carrying and paying for a region that holds no allegiance to the wider district that fronts the bill.

Yes a pool being built at j32 paid for by WMDC angered me, and many others in Wakefield, after OUR council took our facilities away.

It's only classed by the clubs as confidential as they haven't formally announced it yet, why would Cas want to? not exactly inspiring!
She had told me many times that until news was returned to the clubs she couldn't say anything.
Once Sport England have given their judgement its hardly classified.

So what your saying is even though cas have had years to apply for this funding (as far back as when you lot moving to thornes park was still on the cards) but have only chosen to apply for it when wakey announce there latest plans for a new ground? not much credibility there is there?

It's the same bid as Thornes in the eyes of the funding application, just a different site, A community stadium for the District of Wakefield. And thats the reason they have been allocated the funds, because it provides facilities for the whole region, not one associate town.
