Reffing Hull FC's game against Celtic on saturday.
None of us know much about him, how did he ref your game against Quins?
Bit of a joke in the past - however, seen much worse performances than his showing last Sunday (as usual - touch-judges total lack of input was more frustrating).
* Even if Dixon was ref for you this week would you have much to worry about?

A confusing statement given the number of decisions they were actually involved in.

Fair point - but I also have abiding memories (as usual) of important line-calls (forward passes; infringements; play-of-the-ball incidents etc.) where the ref clearly senses somethin awry - looks to his left and right and gets zero feedback. Fights and tries (the interesting bits!) seem to be the only time touch-judges have anything to offer.
Much better than in previous games involving us where he's been ref.
Also got to say that even though the score was close, can't lay any of the blame at his doorstep.
It was entirely our own fault we lost the game on Sunday, something that I haven't always been able to say in the past.

I think you'd be surprised at the amount of input touch-judges have, as would many who aren't involved in the game in that way. That said, most fans seems to think there's a telepathic link between all the match-officials, whether they're using a com-kit or not.

Bit poor at policing the offsides and allowed alot of holding down but given the boggy conditions all in all he did quite well,we had him a few times in NL1 and he wasn't very good but fair play to him he seems to have upped his game for Superleague (Well thats his career down the pan now i've said summet good about him!!!!)
Thought he had an ok game apart from a fairly unusual tendency (among SL refs - he'll learn) to wipe the tackle count at the slightest hint that a player from the defending side may have touched the ball.
