Whilst I am sure most clubs either used or at least considered the use of this tactic if my memory is correct I seem to recall both Wigan especially Tomkins and Castleford mainly Gale were the main users of this ploy, which says a lot about the coaching methods. I assume McDermott was either against exploiting this or perhaps he never quite got the hang of it?

Good decision. Just a pity they were forced to make the players/coaches clean it up.

Now they need to sort out the offside especially when defending players are supposed to be behind the try line, which they never are. Perhaps it's time for the touch judges to earn their fees.

Shame really,cos in a game it's the only time the foot touches the ball when playing for a penalty......
