"Brian McDermott, with a wry smile, nods when asked if he remembers a specific incident which made him realise he was a prick. 'I do', he murmurs."

Who is he? Presumably some relation of Fereti?

On the other hand isn’t it frightening how much salary cap we could lose without it hurting us too much in team composition?

The plan was always to develop the youth talent at Leeds; this situation just accelerated that process. No guarantees of success but hopefully in another year or two things will ease up for signings.

You would think any of the big earners at the club might be on dodgy ground when we’re looking at these huge losses. Not great timing after huge investment in the stadium but it can’t be helped.

We will need some reserves of cash in place to keep the talent coming up, We don’t want to be the bleeding body in the water here, better to take proactive action and try to stay in some control.

Jai Field started @7 for Parramatta today, playing well and just scored a good try in the corner. I like what I see so far. He's only in because Mitchell Mosses is out but what I've seen so far I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Leeds shirt

Getting good reviews from what I’ve read Seen a lot of tweets berating St George for letting him go

He’s plenty good enough to be a very good signing over here

He played very well and comfortable this morning for Parra who have been one of the stand outs this year in NRL, he hasn't played much NRL yes think today was only his 12th NRL appearance but he's only 22 has loads of time on his side to get games under his belt, one of the reasons the NRL has a bigger player pool than us is because they allow their talent to develop longer player over there make their first grade debut at 25/ 26 sometimes even older as well. Where as over here we let player go from contracts at the age of 18-19 and don't give them chance to grow or develop as players and then they can become lost to the game, Maika Sivo who scored 4 tries for eels today made his NRL debut last season and has continued to score tries for fun since then is an example of letting players develop into their mid 20s.

You can see the clubs thinking. He's not an organising half back but he does look like a devastating broken field runner. A great foil for Gale or young Callum Mac. There is no substitute for pace. Agar seems to have an eye for good value talent. Catch is, the more games he plays over there the less likely he is to come.

It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

He has great hands too, but I can't see us affording him
