He was WBC champion wasn't he?

He was also a boxer that, at his very best could trouble the very best (including Hatton who avoided Witter), I also doubt he would have been flattened ala Hatton style due to the fact he has a pretty good chin.

He was never in hattons class,did you see who/how he won the WBC belt???
He was far too negative,i admit he could throw some good combinations but nothing special.
The guy he lost his title to was nothing special either and he out boxed witter for 12 rounds.
It's strange you say he wouldn't of been flattened hatton style because he was never deemed good enough to fight that calibre of opponent.

He will also be remembered for being flattened whenever he jumped upto world class, dont let the handpicked journey fool you.

If you think Shitter would have beaten Hatton prime vs prime, and your a tool.

Witter is 35, and still using that Brendan Ingle style of using his reflexes instead of tequnique to defens himself. But, you can only use that style for so long before age catches up with you.

Anyway it serves him right for completly overlooking Alexander, and concentrating on Khan and Hatton.

I was never fooled but he fought at a higher level than witter could dream of and won some great fights.
Mayweather and pacquiao were just too good and a step too far but he still beat some quality boxers and "ducked" no-one!!
Witter was a poor version of naseem hamed all mouth,awkward and the odd decent few punches but like him found out very easily.

He beat some great fighters and retired undefeated mate.
Calzaghe is one of the best fighters the UK has ever produced imo.
