Well i am afraid this is one wage wasted , absolutely nothing in attack since he has been here and i take into account the lack of half backs but there should still be plans and systems in place . He generally has a week to work with whoever is taking the field on a Saturday .
His scruffy appearance does not do the club much good for image either although i could look past that if he was bringing anything to the table .

I couldn't care less about his appearance personally but I have to agree that given he was brought in as an offensive coach I'm really surprised he's not been held more accountable as we've looked absolutely clueless in attack since his arrival and he's had more than enough time to make a mark on the team

Totally agree , bland unimaginative rugby no or very little organisation, no spark, no quick chip chase.

Again I couldn't care less about his 'style', but it's another staffing area Smith needs to be strong with. Identify what's going wrong and make the changes needed without fear of putting noses out of joint.

There seems to have been a number of examples of exceptional praise for individuals in the club that are unfounded and amount to nothing on the pitch, ie JJBs praise of long being a 'rugby genius' and Agars comments on Tetevanos work ethic and the impact he was having at training. Empty meaningless platitudes.

I fail to see what Sean Long brings to the table. I see no structure in our attacking play, no confidence in our players, and no individuals with particularly high skill levels. What does he do?

Don’t think commenting on his appearance is fair. Does everyone else at the club look like Carey Grant?
Also pointless blaming assistant coaches. Like I said at beginning of season, the playing squad is nowhere near god enough to execute anything consistently…..

Completely agree on your first point, although it would give a more professional outlook if he combed his hair at least. Your second point though mate, it's entirely wrong. Coaches are there to improve players and get them playing in the way the club wants to play. There's enough talent in that squad for us to at least be able to recognise what they are trying to do. The fact we can't, collectively all of us, means the coaches are failing spectacularly.

There are degrees of impact long should have had even with the mitigation of injuries and the lack of quality players. He's not got the best (or anything close) out of those available in the vast majority of games

Easy to single out Long but for me he’s too experienced and achieved too much in the game to assume its his fault. The players here working with aren’t good enough not good enough to lace his boots. Surely has something to offer a team?
