IMHO I don’t think Hall has the skill set to play at top SL level.

I thought when he first broke through that he might be a cracking prospect but he’s had enough chances to prove himself at top grade and tends to fluff it when the big games come around. Unnecessary errors and frequently out of position.

Smith on the other had seems to have lost the youthful exuberance and is shaping up to be the winger that we desperately need.

I don't think anyones writing him off bar LS16 but it seems smith should be the winger next week.

I’m not writing his career off, just at Leeds. Smith is a far better prospect at the moment and has a more in depth repertoire than Hall.

There will shortly be two new clubs announced for entry into the SL who will be more than happy to employ the skills of the young Hall.

I dont disagree I think the Semi would be asking a bit too much of Hall ATM.

I don’t fully understand why so many people are getting sentimental about Hall?

Could it be because he is a product of our ‘never failing’ Academy system or that he is a ‘really nice’ young lad?

How much of a chance does he need and at what price do we give him that chance? Giving him week in – week out first team experience has already cost us and, as seen yesterday, opposition teams target him as our weak link.

He’s not a bad player by any stretch of the imagination just IMO he’s just not good enough to be playing for a ‘top’ SL team.

ryan hall is NOT a product of the leeds academy. in 2006 he was still playing in oulton raider's first team and was only signed during that season by leeds, he was not signed from school or for the foundation he played a few under 18's games then was thrust into the under 21's and got into the first team sqaud i think personally that is all he is - a squad player
