I'd be happy for Leeds to emulate any club that acknowledges when there is a deficency within the playing squad (with room + wriggle room under the cap) and go out and do something about it.
For me it's a matter of Leeds being the best Leeds can be within the rules. Hull and Huddersfield have shown that making late signings isn't the impossibility some would have you believe.
Leeds have already failed to defend one title and set a record no other club can boast. Becoming back to back to back champions would be something else no other club in the SL Era could lay claim to. Pity if that isn't achieved having come this far while underfunding the 1st team squad.

so how would you go about sorting the situation?
I can see 7 solutions:
- Get someone who is not of sufficient quality for a 2 or 3 year contract, but is available (Hull mode)
Get someone not good enough for the NRL over for a loan for a year (Hudds Mode)
Sign a someone for a decent length contract, and deal with Eastwood situation if he gets his Visa
Sign a someone for a decent length contract, and end interest with Eastwood.
Pay a transfer fee and get someone in SL (assuming that everyone would fit into the wage structure and would come to Leeds)
Keep an eye out for decent players becoming available
Keep faith with the acadamy lads as and when needed
Other solution
