While on the subject of amending it's a pity there is no facility to correct the YEP this week.

In the online version of last week's match report at Hull:

'Sinfield worked the ball to Smith and his excellent pass was well-taken by Gibson for his first try since last August.'

Whereas Gibson last scored a 1st grade try for Leeds on the 27th May 2009 at home to Les Catalans.

Followed by:

'Berrigan matched Sinfield with a superb conversion from wide out.'

When obviously it was Tickle as part of his five from five haul.

There were two match reports online this week and in the other we had:

'Super League's leading try scorer Ryan Hall scored the first two tries inside the opening seven minutes, taking his Leeds tally for the season to 21.'

Hall has in fact scored 20 rather than 21 for Leeds at this point. It's been a running sore for most of this season and finally last week it was uncovered where the confusion comes from:

"I've got 17 in the league, plus one in the World Club Challenge and one in the Challenge Cup, so I'm reasonably happy with that."

No you haven't, unlike Jones-Buchanan, Webb and Senior who all scored V St Helens you didn't.

Actaully this is incorrect.

Since the turn of century saints have won 3 titles, bradford have won 3 titles, and leeds have won 3 titles.

But both bradford and saints have won more trophies than leeds in that period besides titles.

I should really change it to bradford and saints being the most dominant, or just what it orignally was in the first place...just saints, who have won more than bradford.

Was it the BBC online match report that had Keith Senior kicking seven from seven last week?

Maybe John Ledger could give them some advice on factual reporting?

Or on the BBC News channel they said Gareth Hock was a hooker. Now whether they were talking about his position or his future employment im not sure.

The really worrying one is an apparently lucid Ryan Hall (who can do the Rubik's cube in eighty seconds) thinking he scored in this season's Challenge Cup and worse still Peter Smith of the YEP agreeing with him.

There was also the Gary Hetherington comments on Keith Senior missing 'less than 20 games in 16 seasons' (when he has missed 25 Leeds games alone in the last ten seasons, although some were through International commitments) but I've let that one slide by without the full facts to nail the quote.

Would that be the same John Ledger who made a cock up of his first press release by getting last season's Northern Rail Finalists wrong?

Anyway, Mr Ledger isn't well at the moment. See Stevo's column in League Express.
