Leeds are still the best team in the competition so if we do have to play them I would hope it's at Knowsley Road with home advantage giving us a chance to knock them out. If somehow we end up playing them at Old Trafford I can only see one outcome
Don't let the result cover up what was a shocking defensive display. That's over 80 points conceded in 3 games. Simply not good enough and tonight we got away with it but when are we going to put in a full 80 minute display?
Don't need to put in an 80 minute display yet.
Aslong as we're ticking along still picking up the points without playing particularly well, I'm happy.
Can only hope so after watching that. He was completely outplayed.
To be fair, I wouldn't want to judge Atkins on one game
However what I hope tonight does show is that the Keith Senior doubters that probably still exist should see what he has just done to Atkins tonight and maybe appreciate KS a heck of a lot more
If Atkins really is the next best thing once Keith retires completely, then the game could be in real trouble, because Atkins is at the age now where he should have been troubling the "old man".
At the end of the day, whilst we can all be happy playing for ten/fifteen mins per half a game it does not look good for the play offs. Our attack is pretty good, as seen by the try which fortuatously won us the game, but the defense is a joke. Wakey will be lucky to make the final 8 and we conceded 30 points for the second game in a row. Our A markers do not work, the wingers seem to defend as centres which allows teams with a good kicking game the chance to score lots of points from kicks. It's not good enough saying that teams only score with kicks, how many will Saints put past us?? Seems like something is missing at the minute, not sure if it is a coaching thing or a confidence thing but we need a good beating to put it right. As a wise man once said, DEFENCE wins games, attack determines by how many!
Before anyone bite my head off,,,,Got to say,,What a great nights entertainment...Result in doubt right up to the last minute.Full commitment by both sets of players....Which is something players from our "National Sport" could learn from.

Yes thats what we need to knock our confidence and ease pressure on saints. A huge 70-0 thrasing would help immensly, especially since we have a 5 game unbeaten run.

I wouldn't worry too much yet. One of McClennans post match comments was quite telling when he said "We're not starting our run yet". Which suggests there is a lot more to come, much like the last two years.

At the end of the day we were 8 points down 5 minutes left and down to 12 men away at a play-off team We still won.
We scored 6 tries to 4 and lets face it the atkins try been awarded was a joke and so was our discipline not as much oue defence as you'd think.
