Despite the battering the pitch has received, there's no need for any concerns at this early stage. I'd expect it to prove it's world class credentials during the games which really count. It'll probably miss out on the Turf of Steel award due to poor performances during the regular season. However, we can count on Martyn Sadler and LPL to award it the Golden Turf or Best Turf in the World award on the basis it stood up to several knocks and batterings but was still highly successful when it really mattered winning several grass of the match awards in the process, as well as being a highly influential and fantastic role model for all young pitches worldwide.
