Easy to single out Long but for me he’s too experienced and achieved too much in the game to assume its his fault. The players here working with aren’t good enough not good enough to lace his boots. Surely has something to offer a team?
Can't agree with you on this Shabs. What he's achieved in the game means nothing now. As a player he was at the top, but this is a different career and I fail to see what he's done as a coach to make him not culpable.
The attack is as bad as it's been. You can blame the quality of players, but this is Super League, not the NRL. A well drilled team can be greater than the sum of it's parts. How often do they look like they've spent a week going through moves or a gameplan? And if you're talking about experience, there's enough in this team to be vastly better than they are.
Remember the A-Team when they'd make a tank out of a barrel and some old rope? You'd watch that and think 'genius' because they used what was available to achieve something. Long 'The Attack Genius' hasn't been able to coach a group of professional rugby players to pass accurately, hit lines, isolate defends, mount pressure on an oponents line or even score tries. He'd be Long gone if it was up to me
