The only thing this whole thing tells us is that we are far better off with Croft instead of Austin on all levels.

I think this kind of noise coming from outside Leeds could paradoxically strengthen the resolve within the club and from the players to get behind Smith. We'll see.

I think the ‘beef’ was that the club didn’t 100% pay for his treatment.

Whether they shoild ot shouldn’t have is id say up for debate.

But as I say I don’t think its Blake’s story to tell, just like the Rhys Martin/GH story he told (whilst still a Leeds player)

Initially Tetevano’s impression was he had to pay the full bill for surgery, or have to wait forever on the NHS. Whether that changed and the club offered to pay a portion I don’t know. I wouldn’t imagine Tom Lockyer the Luton Town captain had to pay for his heart operation, I’m sure that would have been covered by the club. When you consider the amount it has cost us for Fuisitua’s medical care it would appear to be unfair for the club to expect Tetevano to pay for a one off operation that could get him back playing for the club in a shorter period of time. Tetevano was training with Leeds when he was rushed to hospital and I’m sure he thought the club would cover any costs on their insurance to get him back playing and full health asap. Leeds obviously don’t offer that level of insurance cover for their players which is a highly contentious and emotive issue.

The short kick offs thing sums smith up. The fact we practiced them and were still crap at them, but also the fact it’s a shortcut trick play.

Doesn’t paint a great picture of his man management skills either.

How is he actually contributing positively to the club?

I dont think either side comes out looking particularly great. If your employer said they were wanting to extend your contract then went quiet and weeks later went back on that verbal offer without tallking to you, you'd be pretty pssed.

The bits about tactics we can see being played out in front of us, its chaotic. Last week when we had fallen a few scores behind we went for a short kick off that we didnt win, then when saints scored again we kicked long, our 'system' is all over the place.

I disagree - most players when they have left clubs whatever sport have stuff to say. It shines a light on Leeds that is not positive and it is not the first time. If he had damaged his ligaments and they needed surgery the club would have had it done why would they not pay for a stent or two fitting?

Wait until Danny McGuire writes a book - no way he ever comes back to Leeds whilst GH is there.

Insurance, the club likely claims on insurance for things like sporting related surgery. If the insurance policy doesn't cover Heart Surgery then the club wouldn't expect to pay and probably rightly so in my opinion.
