The problem for Gale is he’s the only halfback and all the last play opinions will go through him so its easy to target him, we are mossing pretty much our backline its not surprising we aren’t looking too hot in that department.

Mixed first half positives and negatives
Lack a of strike out wide is going to cost us.
Tetavano looks better and better, smith looks do much a better player when just allowed to be a ball player, Broadbent looks well ready. Seen enough of Mellor now to know he is S**te

Gales not right yet, we are having to play him because we have no one else, he needed a few more weeks, he is looking better now smith is on as a pivot

Our pack which is pretty much at full strength have edged it in the 1st half . We look ok up front imo. We are under strength in the backs and it is showing but hardly unexpected

Thought we won the forward battle. Tetavano super. Gale not great but he's having to do it all on his own. He never hides and will eventually come good. What a great ball by young Broadbent. Think we often go overboard about our academy products (L Sutcliffe anyone) but he looks a composed, tough and skillfull player.
