Bates has a knack of spinning things to his own end. I wonder if other players are called to contract negotiations with two hours notice and no agent/representative? Bradley Johnson isn't helping himself in all this though by taking Bates on through the press.

If he does I can't see it being one in the top half of the table, can see it being a relegation candidate. Think division 3 is probably his level but can't see many clubs paying a bigger contract deal than Leeds offered!
