It’s far more important we keep the talented youth coming through than players who are either past their best, or have never found their best with us.

We are stacked for back rowers coming through, there’s another good FB or two behind Walker, and if we have to run with a skinny squad depth for a season or two so be it.

One or two really good signings to fill gaps and we’ll be fine. We won’t be the only club having to make some decisions on expenditure.

Ward is a class player but objectively just doesn’t play enough to warrant the Salary he would command and Myler has gone ok but would want to be starting half and I don’t think he’ll get that with us especially if Mclelland kicks on.

Greenwood utter cr*p and barrel scraping if sign him, we have better coming through
Crosby, forget him, even if he does ever come back, players his age don’t come back and hit the high spots after 2 years on the side lines

Let’s hope so. I’m hoping that because we had plenty of cap space pre lockdown that’s put us in a good position to reshape the team in the awful circumstances..

Probably what the circumstances do is accelerate what was already going to happen, and forced our hand on a few gamble players like Ward.

I guess Martin becomes the de facto "pack leader", but I feel we still need a mature and high quality prop to rotate with Ava, Holroyd and Oledski.

We still have problems across the team but if we can the pack sorted that's the foundation for me. We have halves with some skill now and backs who can finish. Be very interesting to see what happens with T Briscoe after his knee injury.

where's prior or did you leave him out for his long minutes , will briscoe be able to jump higher than before the injury ? i'd leave luke in

Yep partly forgot Prior (!) but he isn't the kind of impact prop I mean. He's another back rower who can play prop for me.

I'm interested to see Leeming play a bit, and how Dwyer responds.

Swap Liam suttclife for John Bateman. I can dream right.

Interesting that Wigan are supposedly battling the Bulldogs for Bateman. I wouldn't have though SL clubs could compete financially against NRL clubs for top players. Bateman is a top player.

I have this sneaky feeling that we could see Ryan Hall back at Leeds. Not actually sure whether it would be a good idea though.
