Any win's a good win right now. Pleased that JJB won't end his stint with zero wins. Pleased for Dwyer too; he cops a lot of flak but he did what was needed tonight. Lastly, pleased for the youngsters who really stepped up when it mattered.

Few things. Jack Sinfield looks composed for one so young, he will go well as he gets a bit older. Max Simpson is game, he really stood up against a bloke twice his size and with so much more experience.

The pack are improving but have to be twice as good as they currently are if we are to finish even mid table. We seriously lack go forward, and I think a lot of that is down to coaching and game plan as much as lack of size.

We were never going to be cohesive with so many out of position, but showed plenty of guys and effort.

It’s a win, and hopefully will bring a bit of confidence. It’ll be good to get Smithy over.

Oh and the O2 signal at Headingly is terrible…

Yes Sinfield looks like he could be a good un, our last tackle plays were much better when he had the ball, hes coping with the physical aspect better than i thought he would

Was the refereeing really as bad as I thought it was? Seemed to have no control over the game at all, and looked way out of his depth.

Sinfield looks a composed player good passing game and kicking game but he looks a yard short of pace.I thought Broadbent showed up tonight in both attack and defence.

Ita a win and with the men we have out thats all we can hope for. It was never gonna be anything other than that type of game.

The kids are doing well and it wont harm them long term but hopefully some bodies return soon so they go back to 18s to continue their development. Both Simpson and Sinfield will be very very good players for Leeds ive no doubt about either but they shouldnt be in this position. The club should have a proper reserve structure.

Nice to see Jack Broadbent having some good moments tonight. Still young, still developing and will be inconsistent at times.

Whats happening with Prior? Brought back on with 7 left. Must have a knock at minute.

Agree with all that. Hoping Prior is playing with an injury. If not the fat lady is warming up and I think he may well retire at end of the season.

I think we ended up with a back line of Broadbent, Simpson, Gannon, Martin, Handley, Sinfield and Leeming, 3 17 year olds and 1 in his right position. Bonkers.
Hopefully Austin and maybe some others back next week. It makes the 2 suspensions even more damaging.

I'm very happy with that performance, given the circumstances; 8 first 17 players out, Sutcliffe retiring early with Briscoe following, players subsequently out of position, the pressure of a "four point game" and the young bloods of Sinfield and Simpson shouldering that weight with credit.

No, it wasn't fluent but there was a solidity and togetherness which was absent earlier in the season.

Credit to JJB for that. There are a few on here who have had a dig because of his storytelling narrative in pressers, but in the context of what he's had to work with, he's done a great job.

Great to hear Broadbent doing so well. Other kids and exotically Martin deserve spot of praise too…
