Milan have gone backwards under him and only just scraped into the champions league for next season. And with the players they had at Milan in his 8 year there they should have won more than what they did. Ancelotti is a big step down from Hiddink and I think this appointment will be just like Scolari's, it will all end in tears!

A fair point, but his record seems to be excellent to me. The players speak very highly of him, perhaps things went a bit stale at AC in the last 2 years, the team got too old. Not sure AC have had the spending power needed to match the best in europe either.

One thing I think Ancelotti did well at was that he managed to get a team that was mostly in there mid/late 30's and got them to perform every week. Yes they were all world class players but they still manage to cope until eventually they got too old. The fitness he and the other coaches there have got in that team is quality and with Cheleas ageing team he might get them to perform too but just think they should have done more to keep the better coach in Hiddink. Also like Philipe said they won a few trophies while the fixing scandal was going on but seemed to get off lightly.
It will be a tough job for Leonardo telling all the seasoned pro's that are still there they will have to move on but they have a quality scouting and youth system so they will turn it round before long and start again!

He was a few years back but might be risky bringing a player in who has hardly got a game at Sheffield since he went there!
