Vital 2 points wasn't a great performance but the team showed great effort and determination to get the win so big raps for them. Broadbent looked like a player playing to earn a new deal wheater at Leeds or putting himself in shop window looked strong carrying ball and was steady when moved too full back. Sinfield & Simpson have done well to say they are 17 year old kids coming into a team out of form and depleted. I've never known a team pick up so many injuries at one time not sure how bad Sutcliffe is but Briscoe didn't look healthy at all being carried from the field. At least we've created a bit of a gap between ourselves and bottom spot hopefully we get a few bodies back and get Rohan Smith in asap and see how he gets the team going. I also can see Hardaker coming in on a contract til end of season then going from there but who knows.

Very happy with that win.

The teams decimated, an 18 yearold & two 17 yearolds starting in such an important game, getting the win... it will do wonders for them. Broadbent playing well Which is excellent to see.

Was so nervous going into this game, couldn't be happier with the win.

Exciting new coach on his way, Exciting young talent stepping up in a big game, bit of daylight from toulouse in the table...Finally some things for us all to feel good about and look forward to

I am glad to hear about broadbent, I just don't know why he was held more accountable for off performances (limited that he'd got) than other players?

Maybe Broadbent sees a new coach coming in as his opportunity to cement a place, if he plays like he did last night he will impress smith.

Martin sometimes gets a bit of stick but hes been immense in the last few weeks, he also looked better at centre than either briscoe or sutcliffe.

Dwyer deserves some credit aswell, we all know his flaws but there was a point last night when they were camped on our line and he raced out of the line and wrapped them up taking them back about 30 yards it was a real game changer that. He also took his trys very well and set donaldson up, deserved MOM

I think it was interesting JJB singled broadbent out for well deserved praise and also said he’d had a heart to heart early in the week. Hopefully whatever was going on in either direction has kind of been cleared and he gets a fresh slate with Smith incoming.

Martin has been quality this year, I’d go so far as to say he’s the only overseas player justifying his spot right now which is in itself an issue.

Dwyer we know his strengths and weakness. His strengths will always look good against so called ‘lesser’ teams but you can’t fault his effort. I think it’s catch 22 because yes his passing effects the attack sometimes but how poor our attack is he’s forced into bad decisions. I also think if he was spelling with a proper high quality 9 (like lussick does with roby or morgue with Mickey Mac) we’d see less issues.

Also, we’ve had some bad defensive decisions this year but tolouses goal line d was dire. This miss from gigot on Donaldson in particular looked really bad.

JJB didn’t single him out at all. He has Walker men too ones other young players but again not Broadbent. He was the asked the direct question about Broadbent specifically. Then the praise came. Don’t think he would have initiated that though…..

I thought that was a marked difference to an answer jjb gave last time he was asked a question about broadbent where he gave a vague answer about what he had to do better to get picked.

Yea that’s true, and sounds like it’s his place to loose for a while now too which is great…..

Clean slate for everyone when Rohan Smith arrives anyway but certainly enough to give food for thought.
