Liverpool were quite consistent, they were the better of the top 4 against each other, they constantly drew with crap teams.
Manchester United were not special this year, i know it's all if's and buts and 2 games straight out of my head could have easily won Liverpool the Title.
Liverpool v Stoke at home a goal was dissalowed still to this day what for i dont know would have given Liverpool 2 more points.
Man Yoo v Sunderland Man Yoo sneaked a last gasp victory that got them the other 2 points.
Man Yoo didnt win the title this year Liverpool lost it.
I agree about Barry though and i'm over joyed we can close that chapter.
I have my own ideas where Liverpool need to improve and the centre of Midfield certainly isnt one of them
Sorry to go OT but as you don't visit
Other Sports I'll leave this here.
For the first time, probably ever, I agree with you. We were nowhere near as good this season as we were the year before. Liverpool dropped absolutely stupid points at home against $hite opposition whereas we didn't, that's why we won the title.
Until Liverpool, and in particular Benitez get the better of lesser oppostion they will never truly battle for the title. Liverpool need a couple of decent wingers and full backs, with a very good back up striker in order to compete for the title IMO. That was the difference between the two sides this season, you lost Torres and got N'Gog, we lost Rooney and got Tevez.
We won the League in two key games. One v Stoke away, when Tevez got a last minute winner just after we got back from Japan at Christmas, the other was when Macheda scored in the last minute v Villa.
Anyway, if all the transfers go as planned, Chelsea will walk the League next year.
