Good luck to Hughesy but i'm glad he's gone. Far too slow to be a FB and not good enough to play in out midfield. Did a job for us while he was here and Larry obviously liked him but i'd rather see Bromby filling in instead of him.
We are also keeping Johnson now according to Grayson unless a good bid comes in for him. He's prepared to lose him for free at the end of the season. Says he's played the best football of his career since the contract offer was turned down.
If that's the best he's ever played then i might take my boots down one week, get the fintess levels up and i'm in demanding a big contract. He scored a good goal the other night but how often does he do anything good going forward, he can hardly tackle and he gives the ball away more than Snodgrass on a bad day. Whatever is it Larry likes about him i'm just not seeing it. And now we'll now doubt miss out on signing someone because he's staying, any excuse not to spend.
