Come on Leicester, that was proven as not true in the recent court case evidence. Also proven when 5 other consortiums tried to buy them in the Administration process.
Your kidding yourself if you think Bates wants this club to get promoted just yet. He is happy pocketing the sky high ticket prices that the gullible fans still give to him. The crowds would not go up if Leeds were promoted, it would be the same. Only extra money he would get would be TV revenue, which would be offset by higher wages to players, and the fact he has to pay the former creditors a higher pence per pound if promoted.
Its better for him been stuck in this league for a bit longer. Of course I am a cynic where pappa smurf is concerned, but you would have a job convinging me I am wrong.
