McGuire has been awful., and even more injury prone than usual, this year. he's been a magnificent player but the time to call it a day is rapidly coming along. imo he will be even worse next year.

He is injured and if he recovers will be back to some good form next year

If he (and the team) does return to form next year (which I think is possible) then you know they'll trot out the line that "it's indicative of the falling standards of SL" and that "we haven't improved, the other teams have all just gotten poorer"

I can't see it. we look so ordinary its shocking. a top half back will help a lot but we simply have too many players nearing the end of their time. we maight still have the best back 5 in the league, and I think we do, but we are giving them no ammunition. the half backs, sadly, are finished.

but it's not. and having watched, sadly, most games this year then anyone who thinks changes aren't needed are deluded. we've had a brilliant run but time catches up with everybody. this side, if changes aren't made, will struggle again next year

You need some reading lessons I think - where did I ever say these players were no good? That's just a figment of your delusional imagination.

What I said was that having a great captain on the field and a tough culture setter of the field gave these players a platform on which some of them and I never mentioned any names yet another figment of the void between your ears - looked better than the actually are. Take that comfort blanket away and some look very exposed.

Danny McGuire does not fall into that category - so do not misquote me again
