Has anyone on here read the RL press today? In it you will find exactly what Leon Pryce has pled guilty to.

Know what it is? Go on, have a guess.

He pushed the boyfriend, who had a rounders bat in his hand at the time.

Would you jail a bloke who was guilty of pushing another man? If so, I can only say I'm very glad you aren't judges!

He has not been charged with, nor has he pleaded guilty to "pushing another man".

Maybe you should go back and read the press again...

He was charged with and pled guilty to 'common assault' (a Section 39 offence I believe). Common assault is a broad offence. If I touched you and you did not want me to touch you, you could have me charged with common assault. Pryce's version was a push.

I've read what it says in the press closely, thanks. I also know about the charge of common assault. I'm training to be a teacher; we have to be wary of such things.

Bollox. Here's the relevant section of the report (from the print version of League Express dated 30 March 2009:

When neither Ms Reardon nor Mr O'Brien answered the door, Reardon sent a text message to O'Brien claiming their son was in hospital. He then shoulder-barged the door, to gain entry. Rearden grabbed his ex-wife's arm "momentarily", causing three bruises.
