Nor were they anything like the figures quoted in the press. The idea that any player is involved in negotiations about financial matters in this day and age is quite simply, laughable. He'll come in to sign his contract, that's it. The real nitty gritty would have been carried out by his agent, whilst Seth was still back in Derby.
As for Deidre, some of his signings were plainly wrong. Going out and getting Robbie Fowler when we already had enough strikers springs to mind. He should have been looking at strengthening other areas of the team. However, all he did was say he wanted Player X, Ridsdale and the rest of the board should have been able to say no.
