Batley at home would be a good start.

Who in their right minds would want to watch that?

Well, it's free on my season ticket so I may as well go.
From my seat I'll at least be able to watch the night sky cloud formations as the sun sets.

The club might also give away free food in the form of turd sarnies in order to encourage more folk to turn up.

Doesn't mean you have to accept the turd sarnie.

Not sure where all the Burrow stick comes from . As long as he is not playing as an organiser he has plenty to offer especially from the bench . Most of the season he has been our only threat . As for Mags i'm afraid it is thanks for the memories and to be fair there has been plenty of them

McGuire proved last year to me he is far from finished, and i was one of those who said he was prior to that so i will not be making the same mistake again after what has been an awful year all round for the team as a whole, where most have played way below what they are capable of.

Those wanting to bin him as garbage perhaps need to take a little step back and look at the squad situation as it stands right now. We have one rookie half in Lilley and that is it. Sutcliffe appears to be making his way elsewhere in the team right now and doesn't seem capable of leading a team around the park. It's August, all the best OOC players are pretty much tied up. Yes, he maybe 34 going into next year but big game match winning half backs like McGuire don't grow on trees, and shouldn't be tossed in the bin off of the back of a scratchy year. A good pre season and i see no reason why we can't get two more good years from Danny.

I do agree regards him not being skipper though moving forward.

I do take your point, but There has to be planning involved here. I, and i suspect many others on this board already feel we are a quality half short of being at the top again right now and that is factoring in we still have McGuire still at the club for next year. Getting rid now would leave us with rookie Lilley and possibly Sutcliffe as options. Burrow as a desperation cover option maybe. Who would we bring in? Who could we bring in? McGuire will be on a big wedge and is contracted for next year too so doesn't have to be forced out. I'm not even sure how long his deal is.

Agree with Biff.

I am also concerned that McGuire's legs have gone but in this injury ravaged year, it maybe he has just kept playing partially fit.

What I would say is that even if he struggles next year he has earned the right to go out on his own terms. He has 1 year left on contract.

He along with rest of squad will have a lot of motivation to perform a lot better next season. He will not want to bow out like this.

I've watched for 45 years and would put him in the top five players in terms of volume of contribution in a Leeds shirt. The others being Holmes, David ward, peacock and sinfield. He would probably sit above wardy for mine.

From the cc semi in 2003, key try in 2004 gf, vital tries in 2008, excellent games in 2014 cc semi and final to last years 2 try performance in the gf and loads in between.

Only really class players can still be turning grand finals with an 11 year gap.

This man is highest try scorer in history of super league from stand off, appreciate was easier when he started.

Given what he has done, he deserves the chance for one last hurrah. I'm sure the mind will be willing even his body gives up.

fair points but lol how sentimentality cost revies Leeds. Ferguson was the master at knowing when to be ruthless and rebuild
