Well this is a little off topic, but there were two major reasons for his success post Leeds (although it wasn't that many trophies tbh)
1) his experience at Leeds knocked him down a peg, I mean how arrogant do you have to be to go into a dressing room full of experienced players and say that they didn't deserve the medals they had won under Revie and should throw them away, getting sacked made him realise he wasn't such the god of football he though he was
2) unlike when he was at Leeds, he has Peter Taylor with him, he was always the one who controlled Clough and imo he should have been called his co-manager not assistant, if he had come to Leeds they probably would have won a European cup or 2 there
Clough is my personal least favourite manager, even if you ignore his arrogance, his homophobic treatment of Justin Fashanu (including even stopping him training with the other players) is for some reason rarely mentioned, but set back attitudes in football for many years and shows the type of person he really was
