Ha. What a ledge. I remember going on a QPR messageboard a couple of days after and reading through a match day thread. They were chuffed with their start, obviously, but when Deane got his 4th I remember one bloke posting ' I don't f**king believe this' I laughed my titts off for an eternity.

They all had a massive hangover from the play off final defeat too, which strangley enough was very similar to what we experienced under Macca this season.

Also when we won that play off semi against Preston we were actually in relegation form. When Blackwell signed that new deal at the beginning of that February we hardly won a game and we still did enough to stay in the play off spaces. Thought we massively overachieved that season and when Wise came in the reason he had 2/3rds of the season left to go and still couldn't help us from relegation was because the players were well past it by then, just weren't interested and showed how good they really were!

I remember though that day that Ian Holloway was really ill and had discharged himself from hospital to be at the game. He still looked like t stood there at the game.

Either that had an effect on the game or Deano was just International quality that day!

I bet he felt like a sweaty pigs anus after Deane took them to the cleaners. They must have been really, really bad for Deane to score that many.
