Ayling below his best and Harrison once again apart from a couple of decent crosses.
Loses the ball far too many times after beating the man.
Always seems in two minds what to do.
Agree Rodrigo should have come on sooner .
Bamford unlucky to hit the post but probably should have scored before that.
Good to keep a clean sheet and good to have Philipps back.
Winks might be a good loan signing.

Are we linked with Winks? I rate him. We need to upgrade both LB and RB for me longer term. It’s a weakness of ours.

One or two showed a real lack of composure. Shame as we could have had 4 last night. I can’t help but feel that was a big chance for 3 points missed. Suppose that shows how far we’ve come

I’m interested to see how Raphinha and Rodrigo will go together in the same team for a bulk of a game. Match winners the pair of em. Look great bits of business.

Wrt Winks we have not been linked as far as I`m aware.
But he has been told he needs first team football or risk missing out on playing for England.
I would be happy if he does join us.
Trouble is will Bielsa play him!?
It was the same with Nketiah who at the time was a better option than Bamford and probably still is.
Clubs won`t release a player if he is going to play in the 23`s.
Also agree it was as a good a chance of 3 points yesterday and for me was 2 points lost.

Winks isn't as good as Phillips, and on current form, not as good as Klich. I'd have in the squad, but realistically, he isn't going to come here because he can't be guaranteed first team football.
Nketiah is a natural goal scorer, but his all round game doesn't bring enough to the team, or work in the system. He's not a better option than Bamford for the way we play

I wasn`t suggesting Winks was better than Phillips or Klich for that matter.
But like we have already seen we need cover in the event of injuries and or suspensions.
Something we don`t have currently.
Our midfield is fine when all are fit and firing but that won`t happen every week.
I personally could see Bamford and Nketiah playing alongside each other similar to Rodrigo/Bamford.
Like we`ve both said players are unlikely to get a loan move as Bielsa will stick to his favourites no matter how badly they might play.

Absolutely, midfield depth has to be strengthened, but we have to be realistic.. The young French midfielder at Reading would be more plausible.

Nketiah isn't a loan striker, I don't think and probably does require someone along side him to be effective, but not many teams play with 2 strikers, so it probably explains why he's struggling to get game time

Bielsa has never in his career I believe played with 2 strikers. He likes one up front. Cover for Philips is vital for me going forward. We don’t have anyone in the squad is good enough to adequately cover in my opinion.
