Rumour of Watson to Hull again...

Anyone heard anything at all for us? I’m not feeling desperate for signings but just one big present under the tree would be nice.

Am pretty sure we will have some feelers out.

Not heard anything or seen anything in the press. It’s very quiet. I’ve lost track on when we’d usually be in the market tbh.. I assume now the NRL season finished it may start to move down there so we may be working on a few

Hearing Ian Watson will be new Hull FC coach. There’s quite a bit of it on social media at the moment

Yeah I’d like him to stay there. It’s good for the comp. it would be a huge blow to Salford

Watsons appointment at Hull if it comes off may not work at all. Salford are a completely different style of team, their resources and set up is nowhere near Hull’s. His work on galvanising a team together is unique at Salford, so by throwing cash at him and players of a supposed higher calibre and saying win us silverware may not work at all.

I think they'll buy into Watson. Give him time etc. With better resources at Hull they should return to challenging for the Challenge Cup in a year or two. Their squad is absolutely crap at the moment. They need to do what we've done over the last 3yrs and seriously rip that squad to pieces cos let me tell you. They are completely turd.

Think his whole deal is NOT to throw lots of money at big name, big reputation players, you guys should be happy with that as there is undoubted potential in your squad.


I reckon if it is true, it'll be marketed as a new beginning and a new project (circa 3 years) new management, new ideas, a right good cleanout and update.
