With Delph, YES. Without him, I'm not convinced at all... the thing is selling him now, (should we get promoted) we'll only have to spend the same to do well in the championship... another good signing needs to be made imo trouble is, is there anyone who will come to league 1 of the required quality

We should just buy 2 attack minded Argies and a Brazilian striker.

Or try get someone in on loan at least for the season. Possebon will do.

There's no way Beckford will get an improved contract out of it - it's not about what Leeds can afford it's about what they're willing to pay a player in League one.

Beckford will only get a new contract if/when we are promoted to the championship (or in the unlikely event that his agent takes a more realistic stance).

Personally, I'm with evil santa on this one - I've seen enough of Leeds overpaying players to last me a lifetime.

Not really, it looks like another playoff season but all depends if Grayson can get good performances from the players as the second half of the last season suggested that we could do it.
It's a weaker squad than last season's with Douglas, Delph, Richardson and Lucas leaving and Sodje not signed up. The only ins are Kisnorbo, Crowe and Higgs.
If you look at squad size we've got cover in almost every position, 4 strikers, several midfielders, 4 centrebacks and new keeper but the quality of the squad appears lesser than what it was last season but i've not seen any of the new signings so could be suprised.
However Grayson did bring Brad Johnson back in and got Kilkenny going, wonder if he can do anything for other 'forgotten' players like Showumni, Hughes, Huntington, Prutton?
We could do with a midfield enforcer to break things up in midfield as we can lose out here from time to time and some cover for right full back and if Beckford leaves then striker who gets 20+ goals a season.

Good news, sounds like a new signing on it's way judging from the last paragraph. Lets hopw it's someone of good quality (for league 1 anyway)
