How would you say it’s going at the moment?

In fairness I don't see any lack of effort. I do see a lack of pacey game breaking players. If Wigan didn't have French we win that game comfortably. We need to spend our money wisely this year and a try and come up with a couple of players like that.

I certainly don’t want the coach or players sacked after poor performance. However at the end of season the club will have to make a decision regarding smith. Not progressing in the cup once again is woeful, brushing aside Newmans blunder we were second best, the score was flattering due to Wigans goal kicking failure. Personally if we don’t end up the top four I would consider that a failed season. On that basis smith should be sacked.

At the risk of stating the blindingly obvious Wigan had French and we had nobody or game plan to match him.

Yeah because the likes of Bevan French, who want to be in SL grow on tree’s! But let’s not just get lucky and find one, but several!!
We need to get real and work with what we have….
(Sorry for the sarcasm, but getting a bit tired of people already looking to replace half the squad)

Not bothered about the sarcasm you have a right of opinion like anyone else on this board. I certainly don’t want to replace half of the squad. However at the season end the playing squad along with the coaches will have to be judged on results. We have no god given right to be a regular top four occupant ,but we are one of the biggest clubs in the league so mid table is not good enough. Nor is being dumped out of the challenge cup at the first opportunity.

Fair play. But we’re a mile off being top 4 at the minute. We took our eye off grassroots RL in the area and bought into tjis ridiculous marquee garbage, which has done nothing for the British game. And yes I did say it at the time. Fans were crying out for ‘marquee’ signings, now look at us. The marquee thing was a mad cap idea by someone who knew nothing about RL, and abandoned ship the minute things got too hard. Could take 10 years to bring through genuine stars again. It’s either be patient and accept where we’re at, or have s break (which is fine too!).

We are miles off where a club of Leeds resources and fanbase should be and have been for a long time. Think that’s why people are hacked off.

It’s sport we don’t have a right to be anywhere. We’re noy entitled to anything.

Anyway People on here were hacked off when we were winning titles galore. Perhaps the poster earlier is correct i should probably give this place a miss for a while after 24 years of being on SS the negativity is getting too much for me.
