McDermott in the last week:

1. Rested his squad to lose 2pts and a semi final.
2. Picked Golding over Walker (ridiculous).
3. Fail to take Briscoe off in the 1st half after failing to deal with around 5-6 kicks.
4. Bringing Lilley on when the game was over.

He absolutely does not have a clue. If Briscoe plays next week then it sums him up completely.

I am going to disagree with you here, and to a degree defend him.

I still agree with your last points, but the four above it to me were not wrong decisions.

IMO totally different. Pre-2014 we still had a nucleus of senior players with something to offer. Now we have Burrow and Magsy leaving, JJB on his last legs (granted plenty of effort still), Delaney is shot and has been for at least 2 years, Ablett hit and miss, briscoe's confidence has gone etc etc

in fairness to your lads imo I thought it was a cracking game for first half, but we just had to much size and power, again for the most part your tackling was good, we where white hot today bit like when you came to our place,

Yet pre 2014 people still whined just as much and wanted the exact same overhauls.

Can we not lose a game simply because a team was better on the day? We have no divine right to win every big game and sure as hell didn't in the CC when Sinfield and Peacock where here along with different coaches.

Let's not forget this Hull beat the LLS winners elect in the last round and last years LLS AND GF winners in the SF and F for god sakes. Now the same people complaining we haven't beaten them are the ones how wrote us off to do nothing before the season started:

Wrt to the resting of players, it was the ones who were rested that were our better players like Watkins, Hall, McGuire.

The ones who played last week like Briscoe, Garbutt, Keinhorst, Mullally struggled.

This thread literally get's resurrected after every defeat with the same old crap, which is basically "mcdermot should have done this instead of that, it's his fault we lost he has to go".
