I guess it's just me that is shocked that Damo has come up with a sensible post then?

The way I see chanting is we shouldn’t be chanting against the other team because its negative in a way. It should be all Rhino’s songs throughout the match to lift up the team.

Bob Bob Bobbing along shoot the b’stards, you only sing when your fishing, sign on sign on with a pen in your hand should be last resort chants when you’ve ran out of stuff to sing about your own team which you shouldn’t with the variety of inspiration you can get from music.

You don’t see the players disrespecting the other teams players in the build up to the match, at the match and after it. So why should we all disrespect each other in chanting. I know its only friendly banter but its shallow really. Stuff like this should be kept in pubs and should not creep into rugby league stadiums that promote a family air.

Its shallow and I’m sure some of you will agree with me it needs to stop!

Ok to prove that this is not some keyboard complaint of mine. I’ve wrote in to Phil Daly thanks to the recommendation by McLaren_Field and made these suggestions for the club to work on -

- Musicians / songwriters from Leeds met and other musical establishments in Leeds spend a day with people who like to sing in the south stand crowd to come up with new songs on a get together day. This will hopefully help establish good links between the two groups who would benefit greatly. The song writers will hear they songs sung by about 1000 people on match day and the 1000 people will enjoy singing them songs!

- Have a bit of a media backing by getting journalist to promote it in their blogs / newspaper columns.

- Get the players to send out a message about it all in match day programs and in the media
