They would, although we're unlikely to always be able to keep everyone we want.
What I suggested was that we use some of the spare cap space we found this year, to front load some extended contracts - so the player still gets the same contract value over x years, but we have saved cap space in later years by using our spare 2009 space to front load contracts.

It's a crazy policy and one never likely to serve us well but what the heck.

I wonder why you post such rubbish at times.

Before the season started it was questioned that we would be short at prop. And indeed if say Peacock picked up a 5/6 week injury we are incredibly short. It was suggested that Eastwood would cover that role.

Well we dont have him for this year now. Is the prop situation still valid?

Many question the centre situation, arguments for arguments against.

Nobody is a feckkkwit for questioning the need to possibly sign someone for squad strength. Just the same I would expect that if we hit an inury situation of mid to long term injuries for key personell, people would not call others feckkkwits for saying we do not need anyone.

At the moment the only time we have certain answers we are short is if we hit an injury problem. Hopefully that will not happen.

does he? how is it a loan deal? He has a different interpretation to the Bulldogs. He has signed a 3 year deal with the bulldogs, with an option to leave at end of season if his british visa is successfull.

Same time scales. But there is a difference to a 3 year contract with an option and a rest of season loan deal.

Pedantic I know.

It just covers all bases so eastwood doesn't end up in limbo if the visa appeal fails.
It's very straight forward imo win the appeal he's a leeds player for 3 yrs from december 09,the appeal fails his future is already secure with the doggies!!

I wondered that. Is it clear anywhere whose the option is? Can we insist that he come if he gets a visa, or is it just that he can choose between us and the Bulldogs? I think there's quite a large difference really.
