I'm honestly not surprised. Some people act like complete ignorant..well, I won't use the words that go through my mind, but there were a fair few I'd like to have beaten, had I not been a good person. Yesterday directly in front of myself and my 10 year old sister was a man (Leeds fan) smoking without a care in the world, and blowing the smoke back towards us. She has asthma and shouldn't be around it in such close proximity. We complained to a steward but the man saw him coming, died out the cigarette and stood on it, then lied to the steward. The same man also carried cans of beer in a plastic bag and was drinking it with a friend. The lids from our Pepsi bottles were taken yet he managed to smuggle beer? Bullshit.
Second, as Hall scored that last try someone above us through a half empty bottle of beer - you know, that same alcohol that you can't have in the seating area? - and my sister and I ended up with beer on us, and we're glad the actual bottle didn't hit us.
Third, a man a few rows in front of us decided to spend the majority of the pre-game entertainment and first half stood up, despite others asking him to sit down, making it impossible for my young sister to see, even when she stood us for a while, which obviously got tiring and an annoyance to those behind her.
Completely selfish.... ruin the gameday experience, they should all be banned. I'm all for drinking in moderation, banning alcohol isn't the answer, but stewarding should be a lot tougher. How is it possible to smuggle in cans of alcohol? How are people bringing bottles up to the seating area? The tops are taken off so it's not like they can be hidden in a bag to sneak past the stewards. I'm not surprised fights are breaking out when people are being so ignorant to others - there are those out there who will do anything for a fight, and there are people who will push all their buttons to make it happen. All ridiculous. And I didn't have a sniff of trouble from Wire fans.
