I think Agar's position is compromised by his failure with the playing squad. If you look at someone like Shaun Wane, they will command the respect of the playing group, which will be reflected in retention and recruitment negotiations. I always worried that the players saw Agar too much as a friend and nice bloke. For me, he can't do it now.
Personally, I'd take TS in a heartbeat. He's a visionary of the game, and is more qualified that Sinny was for the role IMO. Plus, at his age, he might want something more steady than a head coach role.
