Not all his tries have been handed on a plate though, IMO. He's plucked a few out of the air above the opposition winger, and probably more importantly, is yet to bomb a try scoring opportunity. What more can you ask from a winger? Fair play Smith is good for one or two breaks from dummy half per season, but I don't think he'd have been any better than Hallhas been this season. The good thing about Smith and Hall is their workrate.

I don't know wheher to go with your opinion, or the opinion of an ex international tri-nations winning coach and current Super League championship winning coach and a two time Super League winning and current international coach......

Have a look at Hall's try in the 2007 Grand Final - that was the finish of a talented and game aware winger.

Take a look at his try from distance against Les Catalans at Murrayfield, pace a lot of folk on here didn't think he had.

He's undoubtedly aided by playing inside the best centre ever to play in SL, but to say that he's getting finishes handed to him on a plate is shabby IMO.

Hi. It's my own fault, I could have turned away at anytime, even closed my browser, but I decided to carry on reading.

I have no idea what's going on in this thread but it got me thinking - in future, when a thread turns into a he said/I said contest, how about editing the title so that the people who aren't involved in the 'contest' can give it a wide berth and find a thread about RL?

In the meantime would someone be kind enough to return the last 10 minutes of my life?
