Bamford has an XG of 13.83 for the season, so to score 13 goals is pretty much on the money. He has an expected assists of 2.38, he's got 5 so far, so is out performing in that regard. Harry Kane is the only English striker with more goal involvements this season.

I think people know how important he is to the team. He's improved his sitting this season and people still say he's not clinical enough.

That`s really interesting info JB and again it is all perception seeing what you want to see some times.
I`m from the Joe Jordan school of CF`s and clearly do not see Bamford as the type of striker I prefer.
But I`m more than willing to accept the stats prove me wrong.
The stats also say Jack Harrison is a good winger and personally once again do not see it.
Similar to saying Ian Kirke was one of the best forwards Leeds Rhinos ever produced based on the number of medals he has won.
At the end of the day we are up there and playing some entertaining football.

best not to rush those guys back if they are touch and go especially on that pitch. if we are playing the usual formation i would like to see Llorente and DM over Struijk.
think it is about 10 days to the next game after this one so potentially a full squad to pick from at last against West Ham. |

poor match to watch.felt a bit like the Brighton game where they got the early goal and just saw out the game using every trick in the book with us struggling in the final third to get anything going.
sorry but Roberts,Alioski and Costa not good enough for me if we are to kick on next year and all should be let go at the end of the season. Pablo will be too. those will be the players that make way for the new faces.

We just kept taking one or two touches too many in the final third, Klich especially. Apparently, he needs surgery on his hip, so if Phillips and Rodrigo are going to be available, then I'd stand Klich down, he's been very poor for months now.
On a positive note, the back 4 looked solid, and Llorente looks quality

yes the back 4 has looked decent for a while now Arsenal aside. midfield is a big concern but is definitely going to be addressed in the summer.
agree on Klich, not doing it at the minute and needs to up his game or if he is injured rest him and just play a 23's player, all the games now are pretty much dead rubbers after tonight anyway,we will win a handful more games and finish mid table somewhere.
