Under the circumstances of us having a dearth of second rowers for the start of the season....it is a very good signing.

Maybe they can make him captain too :D

Must admit to having some doubts about this one initially, but lets face it, he's committed no crime. As long as the players and staff are comfortable with it, that's all that matters. Purely from a playing point of view, it's a brilliant signing.

Very good signing for Leeds.
Rhinos clearly have some quality players but I think Delaney, JJB and Ablett are not quite the forces they used to be and Ferris's addition will a) give the team a quality starting backrower b) extend the other players time at Leeds as they are not being smashed every week.

You could see how good he was even when he was at Wakefield and very much under used. I'm glad he's made it to England standard.
His off field issue is a very specific thing that shouldn't affect a new club at all.
Good move for Leeds, Giants and Ferris.

Ditto
I'm sure we've all worked with adulterers, with or without our knowledge.
Most of the moral outrage on here has been risible.

Commenting on the signing Leeds Rhinos Chief Executive Gary Hetherington said, "We are delighted to have secured a player of the quality of Brett Ferres to compliment our squad for next season. Brett knows a lot of our players from the England side and has known Carl Ablett since the pair were teenagers and toured Australia with the England Academy. They know Brett and they are looking forward to having him within our group.

An odd comment to make given Ferres had an affair with the wife with his 'best mate' since childhood and the bloke who was best man at his wedding. Given this, I doubt Ferres will pay much regard to knowing Carl Ablett since he was a teenager and who he once went to Australia with.
I suspect Craig Huby though he "knew Brett" - but clearly he is not as he makes out.
It will make Huddersfield v Leeds interesting next season though. What's the chances Brett is "injured" the first time that fixture comes around?

However, this comment on the BBC is even better that Hetherington's:
"The 29-year-old was placed on the transfer list by the Giants last month after an internal investigation."
At least one of their journalists has a sense of humour!

And not to be left out, Ferres' own bit of double-entendre:
"The last year has seen plenty of ups and downs for me,"
Yes, Brett, it certainly has. Mostly on your best mate's wife

Top drawer signing, exactly what we needed. International class, experienced and a leader. I'm a very happy supporter with this news. You have to laugh at Hetherington though.. he categorically stated we weren't signing Ferres 2 weeks ago. Looooool He's a damn good Chief Exec.

I disagree. If you have known him a long time you will know him for more than just someone who had an affair.
It's not like he was shagging all his friend's WAGs. It's one relationship involving one of his friends.

And I would imagine if Huby was to play any different against Ferris than he normally does, Leeds would take advantage of that. I'd definitely play Ferris.
