Absolutely we do. We need someone in before pre season as well to settle in and to get the best out of the player.

I agree 100% with Jack A new prop is a huge priority. With only 4 recognised props one of whom is not an out and out prop and one who is only 19 leaves us extremely light so I have no doubt what kind of player(s) we are looking for.
The biggest problem is persuading a big name from the NRL to come to the UK and being able to afford the wage. That’s if they can identify the right one in the first instance.
I would not be surprised if we sign one known one and another lesser known one from within SL or Championship. Remember Ava was not in the top tier when we signed him but look what a great signing he has been. So maybe expect the same rather than the big names mentioned so often.

ideally yes but good one will do for now. Prior generally moves to prop at some stage in the game to accommodate Smith at 13..

I'd sooner we bought a prop and a big versatile back rower who can play prop if required.4 props plus prior and A.nother give weight to the bench,gives our second row something it doesn't have at present and proves better value for money.

I’m not sure it does, you need at least 6 players who can play Prop to a good level if you want to challenge at the top end of the table. If we don’t sign one top class prop, and another good one, then we’re basically admitting we’re going to be waiting another year. That’s fine but people should recognise it for what it is.

I agree but I don't think we will get top and good one (when I said good in earlier post I should have put top prop). So one top will do for now. I only want to sign players who will be in the 17.

In our current squad we have

Seumanufagai
Prior
Oldezki
Holroyd
Cuthbertson ( who has just left)

At the moment we have Seumanufagai whose like our Kylie a solid Pacific islander prop, Prior is our sort of JP very professional and not afraid of doing the solid hard graft, Oldezki is like our Singleton our younger prop who can make a bit of an impact but Oldezki is bigger than Singleton and a bit more explosive as well. We have Holroyd who's our other young player. We need to replace Cuthbo with some of a bit of quality and some one of the Garbutt mold ( just not the injury record). And if we can we need to try and get another middle man to help with rotation if not and we only bring in 1 Prop this off season the likes of B.Thompson and Donaldson can help cover if we are down on props.

I thought achurch had already left (I'll stand corrected if wrong), but either way, to suggest achurch and/or delaney were 'recognised props'is ridiculous. That like saying ferres,smith,dondalson thompson are 'recognised props .

Either way theres still 5 there the majority of which were very good at the time and an improvement on the current group
