Its a fans forum you hypocritical nugget, telling everyone not to have an opinion while telling everyone yours...opinions and views are the whole point of this place, even ones different to yours..believe it or not!
I'm not sure he's saying you can't comment, more that in most cases on here or knowledge of the game is minimal ciliated to people involved at the top level.
We also don't know anything that goes in behind the scenes, such as injuries, mental problems, fatigue.
Having said that, seeing the mess the club has got itself into, resistant around the salary cap, then you do have to wonder.
Smith needs to get fit, properly fit. He just doesn’t look in condition to play SL if you ask me, but that can be said about a few of our squad.
He has all the tools to be a very good player, but I worry a little that he’s missing the application hence the lack of fitness.
Unless he's carrying an injury there is no excuse for being out of condition. He is young and training five maybe six days a week he should not be out of condition.

Its exactly what he's saying, unless you agree with the professionals, dont post your opinion because the professionals get it right all of the time, which they dont for a start and even if they did, thats not how sport works, fans of every sports team in the world have strong opinions of whats goin on at there team, its not just us on here, its the whole point of being a fan, you get invested. He then proceeded to call a previous posters opinion worthless and called the poster a nobody. No one expects the club to pay any attention, but it dosnt matter, fans come to boards like this to vent, agree, disagree, discuss and now and again drop a bit of early news...its what makes the board tick, it wouldnt last long if we were all cheerleaders who just agreed the club gets everything right all of the time. For what its worth, im happy with most of the decisions the clubs been making and can see a really exciting few years coming.
Also..its true, we dont know what goes on behind the scenes with injury, fatigue etc, but in the case of ferres, if theres fatigue, injuries and whatever else going on behind the scenes, its been going on for 4 year, so why give him another contract? because on the field, where it counts, for 4 year he's been absolutely woeful, one of the worst backrowers in the whole league for all but a couple of games over that time. The behind the scenes stuff is an easy out imo, its pointless him helping out a young backrower who then cant get a game because that plodders blocking his path despite stinking the spot up 'on the field' continuously. At some point the on field stuff, the most important stuff, the stuff that we can all see, has to count for somthing, on that score Ferres has been awful imo.

By any measure this is just not true and typical unneccessary hyperbole. He hasn't performed as we'd have hoped but since he got over his injury he's been steady enough.

I’m struggling to think of a single game where Ferres has been consistently good throughout the game. He’s had the occasional flash of form, but not even for a full game never mind a run of games.
We signed an international player, and at no time has he shown international form in my view. He’s been well paid, by all accounts, and simply hasn’t delivered.
I don’t see the sense in keeping him on, even if to play prop, as there’s no reason to believe that his form will suddenly become outstanding.
I’d much rather save the money and give someone else with potential the opportunity.

He had an excellent game against Cas away. After that he put in better performances than some others, though nothing special but adequate.
However, the fact the club state about managing the cap to make changes, and about promoting youth, makes them Look ridiculous hypocrites if keeping Ferres. Him staying will most definitely stump the development and usage of that youth.
