I think we need an 8 rather than a 6, and one who is good technically, and can carry the ball. Nandez isn't that.

yes i suppose the need for an 8 is greater..

Athletic reporting we’re after a young defensive mid ideally that’s a work in progress to back up Phillips. Not expecting Leeds to sign Nandez from Calagari which is a shame.

Might be the lad from Huddersfield.

Yes agree. Him and Rice not great first half but really good in the second. I’m still not convinced by Mount though. I’d put Foden or Grealish there but yeah bring it on. What a night last night was. Nerves were shredded

Tell you one thing though, Dasgaard would be unreal under Bielsa is the interest is true.

Aside from 15 minutes in the middle of the first half, I thought England were excellent and deserved the win. There's been a lot of chat about the penalty being harsh, and it definitely was (2 balls were on the pitch too), but we should have got one in the 2nd half for a foul on Kane, and I also thought the free kick that got given that they scores from was soft. They also, scored after a foul should have been given on Kiefer Moore just they scored their 2nd goal against Wales, so I don't think the Danes can have too many complaints about referees.

Thought Phillips grew in to the game and was top class in extra time.
Also agree with Trebor that Grealish or Foden for Mount and also thought Sancho would have got the nod over Saka.
Pickford worries me and if England had Schmichael in their team they would walk the Euros.

Is he linked with Leeds ? He's very good. thought the Danes were very good, their front players and the wings were excellent for them in the first half. I rate that Dolberg, he'd do well in Prem as would Braithwate.

I've been saying exactly the same. We had luck with the pen (he touched Sterling but it was light and you can bet your bottom dollar that any other world class player from any other country would have done exactly the same, we've finally caught up) but like you say the challenge on Kane was a stonewall pen and their free kick for the goal was just as soft as Sterlings pen.

He was linked a last month, but nothing concrete. He'd cost at least £30m, so I doubt it will happen.

Kent is being linked again though.
